Location

Demänová is located in the mountain range of Low Tatras (Nízke Tatry), approximately 3 km from the town of Liptovský Mikuláš and creates a kind of entrance gate to the valley of Demänová (Demänovská dolina).

There are a few alternatives of how to travel to Demänová. Driving a car from Bratislava you will take approximately 3 hours, from Poprad only about 45 minutes. When travelling by train or bus, you will arrive in the town of Liptovský Mikuláš and from there you will continue with a bus no. 5 or a bus marked Liptovský Mikuláš – Jasná. In Liptovský Mikuláš, the bus station is right next to the railway station.

Leaving our houses by car, you arrive in Jasná in approximately 10 minutes, and in the center of Liptovský Mikuláš in about 5 minutes. Liptovská Mara and Aquapark Tatralandia are about 10 minutes away. The thermal spa Bešeňová is about 20 minutes away.

Within an hour’s drive from Demänová you’ll get to the mountains of High Tatras (Vysoké Tatry), Roháče or Donovaly.
